The club boasts 2 Senior Club Coaches – Dave Martin (6th Dan) and Kevin Charlton (5th Dan). We also have 2 Club Coaches – Stuart Appleby, Chris Gordon (both 1st Dan) and Andy Topliss. Added to this we have a BJA Instructors – Graeme Hawkins (1st Kyu) and Nicky Martin (1st Kyu)

David Martin 6th Dan - Dave is a long standing member of the Ipswich Judo Club and was presented his 6th Dan black belt by Densign White at the 2007 British Open.

As a title collector, he became an IJF International Referee (successfully passing the IJF A examination in Budapest on 18-19th February, 2006), a BJA Senior Examiner and Club Coach. He was also an IJF A referee, selected for the 2007 World Championships in Brazil.

Kevin Charlton

Kevin is a 5th Dan black belt and another collector of titles. He is one of Ipswich's Senior Club coaches and could easily get the award for being the creator of one of the toughest warm up sessions in history.
